Fue el actor Jack Black quien reveló a The Hollywood Reporter la manera en que el personaje de Williams estará presente.
“Intentaremos explorar la jungla y superar el juego, es cuestión de vida o muerte. Pero mientras estamos allí encontramos pistas que él (Alan Parrish) dejó. Él construyó una cabaña en la selva, similar a la de La familia Robinson. Él nos ayuda sin estar allí”, dijo Black.

En la historia se hará referencia a cómo Alan sobrevivió durante 26 años dentro del juego.
