Peregrinos vacunados acuden a La Meca en el primer día del Ramadán

Peregrinos vacunados contra el covid-19 realizaron este martes la umrah, la pequeña peregrinación de La Meca en Arabia Saudita, en el primer día del mes de ayuno musulmán del ramadán.

Los fieles entraban en grupos, con la mascarilla puesta, en la Gran Mezquita para realizar el “tawaf”, que consiste en dar siete vueltas a la Kaaba, una construcción cúbica en cuya dirección miran los musulmanes para rezar y que se halla en el centro del patio de la Gran Mezquita de La Meca. El ministerio del Hach y Umrah anunció a principios de abril que “solo las personas inmunes” contra el coronavirus estarían autorizadas a realizar la umrah o las oraciones desde el comienzo del Ramadán.
