Dos montañeros, un estadounidense y un suizo, murieron en el Everest, las primeras víctimas de la temporada de este año, anunciaron los organizadores de la expedición en Nepal este jueves.

“Dos montañeros murieron el miércoles”, dijo a la AFP Mingma Sherpa de la agencia Seven Summit Treks. El alpinista suizo “sufrió agotamiento” tras hacer cumbre (8.848,86 m), precisó Chhang Dawa Sherpa, de la misma organización. “Enviamos dos sherpas adicionales con oxígeno y alimentos (pero) desgraciadamente no pudieron salvarle”, declaró este último en Instagram.
